Career Step Partners with NewLife Technical Institute to Help Students Gain Careers in Growing Healthcare Industry
PROVO, Utah—Career Step, a leading online healthcare education company, has partnered with NewLife Technical Institute in East Liverpool, Ohio area to offer training to individuals interested in pursing careers in medical transcription.
“We are pleased to be partnering with NewLife Technical Institute and excited to be expanding the training options for NewLife’s students,” said Career Step’s Vice President of Business Services, Cameron Loflin. “This partnership will allow NewLife students to train for promising careers in medical transcription with the convenience and flexibility of an online education option.”
NewLife Technical Institute decided to partner with Career Step because of the growing need for medical transcriptionists in the United States and the opportunity medical transcription provides to work from home. The Department of Labor estimates that there will be 13,000 new medical transcription jobs generated between 2006 and 2016, and advances in Internet and data security technology have created many work-at-home positions for well-trained medical transcriptionists. The Career Step and NewLife partnership provides NewLife students the chance to train for these opportunities.
To kick off the new partnership, NewLife will be holding an informational Open House July 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 114 West 5th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio. The session will provide more information on the advantages of training through NewLife Technical Institute’s Career Step offerings and the attractive career opportunities in the field of medical transcription. The Open House will also feature Froggy Radio and give-aways from Barto’s restaurant, Coffee Fusion, and The Hot Dog Shoppe.
