Career Step Partners with SUNY Orange County Community College to Help Students Gain Careers in Growing Healthcare Industry
PROVO, Utah—Career Step, a leading online healthcare education company, has partnered with the State University of New York (SUNY) Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y. to offer training to individuals interested in pursuing careers in medical transcription.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with SUNY Orange and excited about the training opportunities this will create for students,” said Career Step’s Vice President of Business Services, Cameron Loflin. “This partnership will allow SUNY Orange students to train for promising careers in medical transcription with the convenience and flexibility of an online education option.”
SUNY Orange has partnered with Career Step in order to better meet the needs of individuals and businesses within the county. Linda Gramm, Program Coordinator in the SUNY Orange Continuing and Professional Education Department, said that the school is partnering with Career Step to provide a solid training option for individuals returning to the workforce, displaced workers, and individuals with disabilities. Ms. Gramm also stated that the school partnered with Career Step because Orange County is becoming a hub for medical facilities and offices.
Career Step has been successfully training medical transcriptionists for over 15 years, and the Career Step medical transcription program is designed to help students gain the knowledge and skills they need to gain employment as an in-house or work-at-home medical transcriptionist.
SUNY Orange will be holding an informational Open House on August 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Harriman Hall, Room 313 at 115 South Street, Middletown, N.Y. This session will provide more information to prospective students on the advantages of training through SUNY Orange’s Career Step offerings and on the attractive career opportunities in the medical transcription field.
