Career Step Announces Promotion of Two Executive-Level Employees
Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, has recently announced the promotion of two executive-level employees. Ryan Ewer has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer and Ben Hartman is now the Vice President of Enrollments. These promotions and infrastructure changes will better support Career Step’s growth and its ability to serve its students, partners and clients.
“Ryan and Ben have been key contributors to Career Step’s expansion over the years and will continue to be influential leaders in their new roles,” said Steve Tober, Career Step President and CEO. “Their work effort and contribution to our growth has been extraordinary but, more importantly, their leadership, attitude and humility are what has and will continue to make them, and Career Step, successful.”
Ryan Ewer joined Career Step in 2009 as Vice President of Marketing when he was tasked with remaking and developing the Marketing Department. In this role, he developed a talented team and created a well-defined infrastructure. In 2010, Mr. Ewer was also asked to manage the Direct Enrollments Division, focusing on gaining efficiency through lead generation that yielded significant results. In 2013, Mr. Ewer also took management responsibility for the Academic Partner Division. In his new role, Mr. Ewer will continue to lead the Marketing Department and Academic Partner Division while also working with the board of directors on new opportunities.
Ben Hartman also joined Career Step in 2009 as an Enrollment Advisor, where he was an important part of the team as the organization transitioned to a more consultative approach. In the last six years, Mr. Hartman has advanced within the Enrollment team, becoming Enrollment Manager in February 2011 and Director of Enrollments in April 2013. Within these roles, Mr. Hartman has headed efforts to improve sales technology; strategically reorganized the sales staff; and driven overall sales and budgeting. He has been essential to growing the Direct Enrollments Division and driving Career Step’s growth.
