Part of Career Step’s world-class training is our experienced support team. We wanted to take a moment to introduce you to our Medical Transcription Editor instructors, if you’re not already familiar with them.

Susan TuckettMeet Susan!

Susan has been with Career Step for a little over 11 years. She is a Career Step graduate of the Medical Transcription program when it was a text and cassette tape product (yep, those sweet technological marvels). She worked as a medical transcriptionist for over 7 years with a large national medical transcription service organization (MTSO) before Career Step approached her to support their online medical transcription course.  She is a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) who credentialed through the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI). Susan is also a certified pharmacy technician and the instructor for Career Step’s Pharmacy Technician program.

Susan’s extensive industry experience helps her to provide excellent support and feedback to students who are struggling with their transcription and editing skills. She finds the medical field fascinating and loves supporting students. She has a gift for explaining concepts in easy and fun ways to accommodate almost any learning style, and her calm personality is comforting to many students.

In her spare time, Susan loves to watch sports, hang out with her family (especially her grandkids), and watch old movies.

Alesa LittleMeet Alesa!

Alesa has been with Career Step for a little over 9 years. She is a Career Step graduate of the Medical Transcription Editor program.  After graduation, she went straight into supporting the Medical Transcription and Medical Transcription Editor programs as she truly loves teaching and assisting students.  Alesa holds a Bachelor of Science degree.

In her 9 years at Career Step, Alesa has worked in Skills Assessment, Graduate Support, and Student Support. That extensive and varied experience helps her provide well-rounded support to students with all kinds of questions and concerns. She has a passion for the English language and studied journalism in college, so she always thoroughly enjoys assisting students with their grammar and punctuation questions. She finds the medical reports fascinating and feels there’s never a dull moment when transcribing. As Career Step’s Community Administrator, she also thoroughly enjoys interacting with students on the Student and Graduate Community (forums and chat rooms).

In her spare time, Alesa loves to tinker with computer equipment, play video games, ride her bike, and spend quality time with her friends and family.

Susan and Alesa are available to support our Medical Transcription Editor students through 3 main mediums, Monday-Friday 9 am to 7 pm Eastern time:
