Making Your November Efforts Go Even Farther: Donating to the National Military Family Association
November is Military Family Appreciation Month, and we’d like to request your help in our appreciation efforts.
Last year, with your help, we donated $7,600 to the National Military Family Association’s Operation Purple initiative, which provides a fun summer camp experience for military kids with parents who have been, are currently, or will be deployed. This year, we want to do even better!
For the entire month of November, we’ll be donating $50 for every one of your referrals who enrolls. You don’t have to do anything extra to participate in this donation drive, and you’ll still receive your normal referral payout—but you can also enjoy the feeling of knowing that your hard work is going a little farther. Each referral enrollment from November 1 through November 30 will result in a $50 donation.
Operation Purple is a great cause that we really believe in. Here’s what they have to say about themselves:
The National Military Family Association’s Operation Purple® camps give military children a break from wartime tension at home, friends to confide in, coping skills to handle mom or dad’s absence, and some fun to offset the extra responsibilities in their complicated young lives. Operation Purple family retreats help families reconnect and heal after wartime separation. Some retreats are specially designed for families of the wounded, as they rebuild bonds and find a new way forward.
The camps provide kids opportunities to explore helicopters and Humvees, taste meals-ready-to-eat (MREs), play hide-and-seek wearing night-vision goggles (fun!), and participate in other fun and rewarding activities in an effort to help them reduce uncertainty about the safety and comfort of their parents.
We’re excited to broaden our support efforts to military children and hope that you’ll join us.
