Referral Resource Round-Up: April 2013
It’s that time of year again! Another 4 months have passed, and we’ve put together a whole pile of new resources for you. To make sure you’re aware of what’s available, we’ve put the whole list together in one place. (Our last Referral Resource Round-Up was in December 2012.)
1. Your Referrer Webpage
This should always be your #1 resource. Directing interested contacts to your referrer webpage ensures you receive credit for them when they enroll; and, in the past few months, we’ve made a number of improvements to make this page even better. Visitors can now enroll directly from your page, we refreshed the video on the homepage, and we’ve added an “I am a military spouse” checkbox on the page form to ensure your contacts talk to the best Career Step Advisors right from the start.
You can view your page by visiting http://referral.careerstep.com/ref12070 and replacing the last 5 digits with your own Referrer ID. If you’ve forgotten your Referrer ID, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I can look it up for you. Read our Why is Your Referrer Webpage Important? post for more information on how to use this page.
2. Revamped Referral Resource Center
In an effort to make the Referral Resource Center even easier to use, we’ve reorganized it. It’s now easy to see where to find the different resources, and we hope that you’ll use this resource even more now. You can currently find videos, brochures, ebooks, web banners, frequently asked questions. Let us know if there’s a resource you don’t see that you’d like!
3. Referral Program FAQs and Webinar
Have questions about how the Career Step Referral Program works or looking for quick tips and tricks to get started. Our new Referral Program FAQs were designed with you in mind and our Referral Program Webinar is a great resources as you’re trying to get started or re-engaged with the program.
4. Expanded Career Step Video Library
We’ve been working really hard over the past few months on growing our video library—and our efforts are paying off! We added 13 new videos over the past few months, and you can now watch our CEO talk about Career Step’s mission and commitment to students, meet all of the Career Step instructors, and listen to several students and graduates talk about their Career Step experiences. 5. New eBooks
In addition to providing brochures and fliers we now have a few ebooks, which are slightly longer pieces designed to give a little more explanation on a certain topic. You can find all of the ebooks in the Referral Resource Center and we currently have one on The Top 5 MyCAA Myths, The Top 5 Medical Transcription Myths, and whether new Medical Coding students should choose an ICD-9 or ICD-10 training program.
6. The Top 10 Benefits of Education Series
Last year we published The Top 5 Series, which provided the top 5 reasons someone interested in a given career path should choose Career Step. This year, in response to the responses received in our referrer survey last December, we’re highlighting The Top 10 Benefits of Online Education. We’ve already highlighted the benefits of choice and savings, flexibility and convenience, and instructor interaction and networking opportunities, and as the year goes on we’ll also be talking about accelerated graduation, effective learning, unique learning environment, and new technologies.
7. Career Step Social Media Channels
We’ll wrap this post up with a shout out to the various Career Step social media channels. They’re a great way to stay up-to-date on all the latest Career Step news, and you can also connect with other students and graduates there.
