Keeping You in the Loop!
Hello Pharmacy Technician students! Since the launch of Career Step’s Pharmacy Technician program four months ago, our student population has grown to almost sixty students! The word is spreading about how Career Step students receive quality training at an affordable price with superb student support.
Last week, our first graduate successfully completed the final exam! So, if you are in the middle of a module that has you discouraged, keep your head up and continue working—there is light at the end of the tunnel. And do not forget about the myriad of resources available to you on your journey through the Pharmacy Technician program.
Consultations are one of the most valuable resources that Career Step provides to students. The Pharmacy Technician Support Team offers an Orientation Consultation, a Pre-Calculations Consultation, a Pre-Final Consultation, and a Graduate Consultation. These consultations are offered by conference calls and, in addition to having a Career Step advisor on the phone, other students will join in the consultation to help you learn from their questions and experiences. For those of you who have already joined at least one consultation, you already know how helpful they are. For those of you who have not, now is the time to get involved!
The forum and chat room are also great places to go to find support and answers to questions. There are not enough pharmacy technician students who have taken advantage of our forums and chat room! If you have never visited the forum, please go to your homepage and click on the Forum button. This will take you to a Welcome page. On the Welcome page, you can click on Login/Join and then the option “I do not have a Live Cloud account.” You will then be prompted to enter information to apply for an account. A moderator must approve your application (this may take a few days) and once they do, you can roam freely around the forum and learn from other students.
Finally, don’t forget that you have access to live, friendly people in the Student Support department. We are only an email or phone call away. We are not in the office 24/7, but we will reply to your emails and calls promptly and will do our very best to help you succeed in the course. Whether you need help with a difficult calculation or you just need some encouragement to stay motivated, we are here to help YOU!
Students who take full advantage of the benefits offered by the Career Step Student Support staff are typically very successful in the program and at securing employment.
