Positive Attitude

Our attitudes are seeds from which our actions grow, as with seeds, we harvest more than we plant.  Just like any healthy garden, it comes from properly planted and nurtured seeds; healthy attitudes come from properly planted and nurtured attitude seeds.

Our positive attitudes can grow and produce more positive attitudes.  We first have to look in the mirror and start there.  Yes, it can start with us.  Our attitude is the one thing we have complete control over and we choose our attitude every minute of every day.  Why not choose to have a positive attitude instead of a negative attitude?

If we allow our attitude seeds to grow, what kind of attitude will you grow?  We can have a beautiful flower or an ugly weed.  It is up to us to pull those attitude weeds of anger, resentment, self-defeat, and negativity.  We can plant attitude seeds on a daily basis in our lives and the lives of others whom we come in contact with; plant Hope, Faith, Love and Encouragement.

“I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow”- Abraham Lincoln

Our attitude has a profound effect on the quality of our life.  Positive people tend to experience greater joy.  It is not an easy task to be optimistic, but it is worth it in the end if we have a more fulfilling happier life.  The words you speak have an effect on others; choose words of love, praise and forgiveness.  Be genuine in the compliments you pay to others, try and lend a helping, loving hand;- listen more and talk less.

“The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter his life by altering his attitudes.”—William James

“The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude.”—Dennis S. Brown

“If you don’t like something change it, if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.” –Mary Engelbreit

Remember, you are in charge of your attitude.  Look in the mirror and try and do some internal house cleaning and work to adjust your attitude to an attitude of appreciation and gratitude.  You might be surprised at what happens, try it and see.
