PTCB Launches New Website

Pharmacy Technician2 Comments

The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board has recently launched their new website at www.ptcb.org. They are experiencing heavy traffic as they transition to a new database so response times on the site may be slow and you may not be able to login right away. The PTCB staff continues to work around the clock to address these issues.
Note: If you receive an error message when attempting to go to www.ptcb.org, please clear your browser history so you have a clean “www.ptcb.org” URL to get to the site.
Expect great things to come in 2013:

  • Career Step being recognized as an Educator Advocate.
  • Launching an updated, reorganized exam replacing the current PTCE. The new blueprint organizes content into nine “knowledge areas” each having a number of sub-domains. Changes have resulted from a Job Analysis Study completed in February 2012.
  • PTCB Executive Director & CEO Everett B. McAllister, RPh, MPA, together with the PTCB Board of Governors, announced the development of an advanced certification program for pharmacy technicians. Further information regarding the new certification program will be released in 2013.

    Hi Gary,

As we’re a separate organization from the PTCB, you will need to contact them directly for more information on using their website. You can reach them at (800) 363-8012 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Best of luck!
