Sten-Tel, Inc. works closely with our new graduates while providing steady workflow and feedback using the AAMT approved QA Navigator Software. Every graduate will be paired with a QA editor and account manager and feedback will be given to assist the new MT while transitioning into this exciting industry. Sten-Tel, Inc. proudly delivers quality work to our clients and seeks quality medical transcriptionists to join our team. We offer quality and production bonuses to our MTs as well as CMT reimbursement for medical transcriptionists who successfully pass the AAMT Certified Medical Transcriptionist exam. Pay is based on experience and production. Bonus incentives and shift differentials may also be available.

Establishing line volumes and/or schedule of hours is vital in our ability to adequately place our medical transcriptionists with our clients’ work volume needs and our promise to meet our clients’ contracted turnaround times. As an IC, you will be responsible for your own taxes. We will issue a 1099 form to you at the end of the year, and you will be able to claim certain deductions on your taxes: home office use, any equipment or materials you purchase to perform your work, such as dictionaries, hardware, software, continuing education classes, and any long distance telephone costs. It is a good idea to consult with a professional tax advisor to take full advantage of the many deductions available for home office use.
Medical Transcription Training
If you do not have experience in the medical transcription industry, it is strongly recommended that you complete a quality medical transcription program. A medical transcription program should provide course work in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and authentic physician dictation files. Court reporters and legal transcriptionists wishing to enter this field are encouraged to complete a quality medical transcriptionist training program. Nurses often enjoy a satisfying career with our company, provided that they are proficient in keyboarding, grammar and have the necessary PC skills.
