Who’s Who of Career Step Learners: Working Moms

This month we shine the spotlight on one of the largest groups of Career Step learners: the working mom! We all want what’s best for our families and sometimes that means both parents working outside the home.  Below are some reasons why Career Step might be the right choice for the moms in your life!

While no one is better than a mom at scheduling, life happens! Which is one of the reasons online courses are such a great fit for working moms. Some days might be less busy, allowing them to dedicate several hours to studying, whereas the next day everything seems to come completely unglued and there is no time to fit in training. That’s ok. Since our online courses are self-paced, moms have the freedom to fit training around their individual lives.

Anyone who has ever thought about getting training knows how expensive it can be. And in a household with children, there never seems to be a shortage of bills. So finding money for training is not an easy task. Luckily Career Step’s courses are affordable with most being less than $3,000, including books! And we even offer payment plans that can help moms get the training they need by paying a little bit at a time.

Preparation for a Real Career

Training with Career Step gives moms the opportunity to get a real career that makes real money. Our online courses are designed to help our learners get a job. And not just a retail job paying minimum wage, but a real career that can pay as much as $40,000 a year and offers room for advancement! This is important because it allows moms to make more in a shorter amount of time, which gives them the freedom to work fewer hours and spend more time with their families.

How to Spread the Word

It’s easy to get the word out about Career Step’s courses and how they might be the perfect fit for the working mom(s) in your life. You can share your story (or one of testimonials from our site) with any of the moms you know. We also have a Fit School Around Your Life flier that you can print out and share on community bulletin boards at the library, yoga studio, grocery store, or anywhere else you think working moms might see if. (Just remember to customize the flier with your referrer ID so you still get credit for the referral.)

These are just a few of the reasons why we think Career Step’s courses are ideal for the working mom. Are you a working mom? How has Career Step changed your life? We’d love to hear your story in the comments section below.
