What Industry Associations Does Career Step Work With?
Career Step training programs have ties to the following industry associations:
- AAPC – The American Academy of Professional Coders primarily represents the outpatient side of the medical coding industry. Career Step Medical Coding and Billing graduates are prepared for the organization's Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification exam upon graduation.
- AHDI – The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity is the leading association for medical transcriptionists. This association has approved Career Step Medical Transcription training program.
- AHIMA – The American Health Information Management Association oversees all health information management industries. The Career Step Inpatient and Outpatient Medical Coding and Billing program is an AHIMA-Approved Coding Program, and graduates are prepared for the organization's Certified Coding Associate (CCA) certification exam upon graduation.
- CDIA – The Clinical Documentation Industry Association represents the concerns of medical transcription employers.
- NHA – The National Healthcareer Association offers certification for several medical fields. Career Step training programs prepare students for the organization's Pharmacy Technician Certification and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam.
- PTCB – The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board offers the most recognized and respected national pharmacy technician certification. Career Step graduates are prepared for this exam upon graduation.
