What is the MyCAA program?
The military spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program is a career development and employment assistance program that offers $4000 to military spouses pursuing licenses, certificates, or associates degrees necessary for gainful employment.
Why does the MyCAA program exist?
It’s all about getting military spouses good jobs. The MyCAA program pays tuition expenses for career oriented programs that focus on teaching the knowledge and skills individuals will need to do a specific job
Who is eligible for MyCAA funding?
Spouses of service members on active duty – Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. They must be in pay grades E-1 to E5, W-1 to W2 and O-1 to O-2. Spouses of National Guard service members must be able to start and complete their course work while their military sponsor is on title 10 Military Orders
What does MyCAA funding pay for?
MyCAA offers a max benefit of $4000 to cover tuition Costs of approved training programs. MyCAA does not pay for
- Books or other supplies
- School Fees
- Student Activities or events
- child care or transportation costs
What is the MyCAA application process like?
The entire process can be done online. Create your account on the MyCAA website, put together your education plan and then apply for financial aid after your education plan has been approved.
What makes a good certificate program?
Certificate programs are a greate fit under MyCAA funding because military spouses can be trained and working in a year or less. make sure your certificate program is
